PROFESSIONAL HIGH RESOLUTION SCANNING

For those looking to transform their original artworks or preserve archived collections into digital print ready files. Our flatbed scanner produces accurate, pin-sharp reproductions from a wide range of media up to A1.

ABOUT OUR SCANNER

We use our colour calibrated, Epson flatbed professional scanner, which has an optical density of 3.8 DMax and 48-bit colour depth. This combined with our advance scanning software, ensures accurate colour, tone and contrast. For originals larger than A3, we scan in multiple segments and seamlessly stitch them together into a distortion free, single layer image.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Scanning artwork is a first step when producing high quality giclée prints. We focus on producing faithful, fully colour managed, high resolution scans direct from a huge variety of originals. See our process below:

Get in touch with your requirements. We will arrange an appointed time for you to drop in your artwork. Allow 1-3 working days whilst we scan, edit and create your print ready files.

Your originals will be handled with care and scanned to your size and resolution requirements.
During this process we will be checking the colour balance accurately matches the original, whilst removing or tidy up dust, scratches imperfections that may be visable.

All scans are saved and sent to you as a high quality TIFF and JPEG in the size scanned. If you are needing your files set up to specific print sizes with any borders, bleeds or trim marks then we can add on our ‘FILE SET UP’ service. Additional charges apply, please refer to our scanning prices.

Unless you have been quoted beforehand, you will receive an invoice on completion of your scans. Once payment has been made we will email your scan files. You will also recieve 1x A5 test print on your chosen paper for comparison against the original.

We will arrange a appointed collection slot for you to collect your original artwork from the studio.

We offer a 20% discount for three or more scans of any size as seen in the costs below.
For print ready files at specific sizes including any borders, bleeds and trim marks we charge an additional cost of £5 per file set up.

GICLEE PRINTING

For those who have their files ready in a digital format and are simply looking to order high quality prints. We offer collection from our studio and shipping options.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Click “ORDER PRINTS” in the menu to order online or contact us via email.
  • Online you can pick your paper type, size of print and upload your files.
  • Select the option to collect or have your prints shipped.
  • We’ll contact you when your prints are ready for collection or have been shipped.
  • Typically 1-3 days, depending on your order details and chosen shipping or collection method.
  • Contact us for a quicker turnaround, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
  • Pricing includes standard file checks to ensure your files meet our requirements for print.

BESPOKE SCANNING SERVICE

A one to one service for those wanting to visit the the studio, see the process of printing & scanning and gain knowledge in the set up of their files.

HOW IT WORKS

 

Get in touch to book a one-on-one session in our studio. We recommend a short consultation via email/ phone beforehand to discuss your needs.

 

  • Bring Your Artworks: Arrive at the studio with your original pieces.
  • Watch the Process: Experience the scanning process firsthand and view on our calibrated monitor.
  • Receive Insights: Learn how we colour correct & prepare files for print, including adding borders & bleeds.
  • Test Print: Receive one A4 proof print on your choice of paper to compare with the original.
  • Receiving Files: Scans & files are sent to you via We-transfer in your desired formats.
  • Time: Can be between 2-8 hours, depending on your needs.
  • Bespoke Service Fee: £100 per hour
  • Scanning Costs: Additional fees apply for scanning. Please see our scan prices to get an idea of costs.
  • Payment: Customers will be invoiced and charged via card on the day of the appointment.
