  • A Giclée print is a high-quality printing method used to reproduce fine art and photographs. It involves using archival-quality inks and specialized printers to create museum-quality prints with exceptional detail and color accuracy.

  • Each print using this method is made up of thousands of small ink particles that build up to produce a print, using the halftone technique that simulates continuous-tone imagery through the use of dots, varying either in size or in spacing, thus generating a gradient-like effect.

We specialize in printing fine art and photographs for artists and photographers. Our services include printing paintings, illustrations, photographs, digital art, and more.

Our bespoke service provides a one to one experience where you can oversee the scanning and printing processes, receive guidance at every stage, and take your original artwork home the same day. In contrast, our standard service still offers a quick turnaround but without the direct involvement and additional fees, making it ideal for those who prefer convenience.

Yes we offer a high resolution flatbed scanning service for artworks up to A1 in size. Please vist out scanning service page for prices and more information.

For customers who are not local to us, we do accept artworks via post. However, we generally do not recommend sending framed or glazed pieces due to the risk of potential damage during transit. For more information please get in touch.

We only allow this with our bespoke scanning and printing service which provides a one to one experience where you can oversee the scanning and printing processes, receive guidance at every stage, and take your original artwork home the same day.

  • We reccommend providing high-resolution files (300 DPI or higher) in a flattened TIFF format to ensure the best print quality.
  • We can also print from a flattened PSD or PDF or JPEG. For very large files we recommend sending them to us via We-Transfer.
  • Your file needs to be in RGB colour profile as Giclee Printing can reproduce a wider gamut than CMYK and other print methods. You can read our file requirements for more help.

Absolutely! You can upload all your files online and use the arrows on the right of the file to select how many you would like.
You can request paper samples by contacting us or visit the giclée printing page on our website to find out more information on all our papers.
  • We ask that any internal/ external borders you would like on your prints are added to your files before sending to us. However, if you’re struggling with this, we’re always happy to help with getting your files ready for print.

  • Once an order is placed online there are no options to change or cancel, but don’t worry, you still be may able to cancel the order.

  • If you can let us know within 1 hour of placing your online order, we will be able to cancel, update or refund your order.

  • Please email us at hello@artistprintstudio.co.uk as soon as possible providing your order reference and there should be no charge unless it has already been printed.
If you’ve started your order and placed the item in your Cart, but realised you need to add extra prints or artworks or change the paper type or size – have no fear, you can now amend these from the Cart but clicking the ‘EDIT OPTIONS’ button next to the item.
  • If your local and would prefer to collect your order free of charge from the studio then make sure to select the ‘collection’ option at the checkout. We aim to have your prints ready within 24 hours from the time you placed the order.

  • If you would prefer to collect your prints flat, we recommend bringing a portfolio case for easy transport.

  • The Print Studio is open for collection 9-5pm Monday, Thursday & Friday and you will be notified via email once your order is ready for collection with further details.

*Printing lead times can very depending on the quantity and size of prints.

  • We use acid-free tissue paper to package all our prints, ensuring the print surface is always protected in transit.

  • For collections we can leave your prints flat and recommend you bring a portfolio with you for easy transport. 

  • For print sizes larger than A3 we carefully hand-roll the prints and ship them in tubes.
    For smaller sizes we use heavy duty bookmailers and envelopes.

Yes we currently offer UK shipping with a standard turnaround time of 3 working days, but this can vary based on order size. Expedited options are available upon request.
